4 Healthy Habits For The New Year
1. Go For More Walks
There’s no better way to see your city than on a walk. This spring join us for a Reno Food Tour where we’ll walk over a mile winding through downtown or midtown. Tours start April 6th and booking is open now.
2. Eat Healthier
There’s never been a better time to try vegan! The Reno Vegan Chef Challenge returns to kick off the New Year on January 1, 2023. Local chefs will be competing for your votes with creative and delicious plant-based menu options.
Participating restaurants include Smith and River, Liberty Food and Wine Exchange, The Grill at Quail Corners, Homegrown Gastropub, Great Full Gardens & The Kitchen, Cherry Bomb Catering, Wild River Grille, R Town Pizza, Süp, Thali, Cafe Capello, Pasta Fresca, Rolled Mountain Creamery, and Coffee N’ Comics.
3. Spend Time Outdoors
Here in Reno/ Tahoe we’re close to many outdoor adventures. Visit Mt. Rose Ski resort and make some turns. Try sailing on Lake Tahoe with Cruisers Academy. Or just take a stroll along the Truckee River. No matter the weather, there’s always something fun to do in America’s Adventure Place.
4. Cut Back On Alcohol
Let’s face it, after a midnight Champagne toast we all might be considering alternatives to alcohol for a while. With the craft beer movement on the rise many breweries are trying out non-alcoholic brews. Some of our favorites include Athletic Brewing, Lagunitas Hop Refreshers, and Guinness 0.
Reno boasts many bars and pubs that serve up these refreshing brews. Sip on a Guinness 0 at Ceol Irish Pub, Find a wide selection of Athletic Brewing’s NA offerings at Piñon Bottle Company, or simply order a mocktail.
