Fall Flavors Welcome Cooler Months

I cannot endure to waste anything so precious as autumnal sunshine by staying in the house.

Between Summer + Winter

As is the way in many American cities, corn mazes are en route to grooming, pumpkin patches are picked and apple pies can be frequently found on most menus. In Reno, we too share the love for a traditional autumnal  experience but are eager to share our own fall rituals. As sunlight is becoming more scarce with each day and temperatures cool, we recommend taking a stroll alongside the downtown Truckee River. Soak up every drop of autumnal sunshine you can, and pick up an Old Pine latte at Old World Coffee before you do.You’ll find more fall flavors below for all the comfort you could ever dream of.

 The Season for Soup

We don’t discriminate against soup in neither spring, summer nor winter. Nothing beats a good gazpacho on a hot August afternoon, and tomato bisque is a year round staple in our kitchens. However, once October rolls along nothing can quite match the comfort a good bowl of soup can give. That’s why we’re so lucky to have Süp restaurant right in the heart of our fair city to complete soup season.

We’ve got good news and good news for you. First, Great Full Gardens South Reno location is in full effect. Second, they are on our MidTown food tour. And lastly, you can find all the flavors of fall on this sandwich at both locations.

The spiced pear truffle at Sugarlove Chocolates is perfect for any blustery day! Made from fresh Seckel pears added to a spiced pear liquor from St. George spirits, then blended into a Belgian milk chocolate ganache – you must devour for yourself.

We’ve been asked by many if our food tours are year round, and the answer is always yes. Here’s why.

The Nevada fall climate becomes a vibrant new world as the summer heat passes. Rustling leaves and their striking colors invite you to wrap up in your favorite scarf that’s been sitting in your closet all year.

Each stop greets you with a new menu item featuring this year’s harvest from nearby farms and Reno chef’s newfound inspiration can be tasted with each bite.

Reno Food Tours provides an unbeatable experience in the most unconventional of ways. So break out your favorite sweater and join us for adventure off the eaten path this fall!!

With warmth,
